Architecture Photography

Saturday 06 July
Minster Yard, Lincoln - 10am - 2 Hours

Architectural photography can be a great way of exploring and documenting a city, whether it's your home or on holiday. Its about capturing not only the design and accurate representation of a building, but to have the shots be aesthetically pleasing to the viewer's eye. An architectural photographer makes pictures, not takes pictures.

In this session, we will be covering how to better understand Architecture photography and we'll be looking at ways to take some impressive shots and the camera settings to use.

I love the mystical, dreamy, magical look in my macro flower photography and I hope to have captured both the delicate nature of these tiny flowers and an ethereal feel in the image. I absolutely love taking photos of flowers and for me wild orchids are a super subject. Sadly I've been told that some c

I had spent some time on Inner Farne trying to get an image of a Puffin in flight. I hadn't had much success until I noticed one particular Puffin was returning to its burrow on a regular basis from the same direction every time. Then sit was just a waiting game until I saw him /her approach and then press the shutter. This was about my fourth attempt to get what I was happy with.

Arches is considered a dark sanctuary meaning using light painting is not allowed. I went to do Astro Photography in June of 2021. This was taken approximately 2am when the Milky Way rose to the center of the arch. While it is a dark sanctuary, someone was hiking on the other side with a headlamp giving me just a touch of light painting to outline the arch. I held the wide angle lens open approximately 13-seconds, ISO 1600.
