Taking the dogs for their evening walk. My wife and I noticed the dandelions looking pristine. We started taking some pictures of the dandelions and of the sunset. Then I took this of the sunset viewed through the dandelion. This photo was taken using my iPhone and I used the stock photo app to enhance the colours a little.

I met this curious Robin whilst on a solo birthday hike. I started my hike up Crook Hill, when I noticed how close this Robin was to me on the side of the trail. I took a few pictures and got as close as I could. Which the Robin didn't seem to mind. It let me take a few pictures before I went on my way. I'm very grateful for meeting this sweet bird and for the pictures I got.

On a tight road as I pulled over to let a vehicle pass me, I looked to my left and the tree caught my eye. I jumped out and set up to shoot the scene. The minimalistic nature of the composition was particularly appealing and the macabre notion of life and death in the same perspective intrigued me.

So I was walking along hoping for that perfect shot and boooooom the grey heron was waiting for me all elegantly and posing for one of my favourite shots I have taken.

I am a complete beginner, so I have my Nikon D5600 set on auto so all I have to do is point and click. I zoom up close and then crop the photo when editing to get even closer.
